Mountain Lake Construction began doing general construction work in the fall of 1977 under the name of Mountain Lake Electric. In May of 1984 it formally organized as Mountain Lake Construction, a business of James Good. In the early days the work was almost totally in Industrial Plants. The 80’s brought more of a balance between industrial and commercial jobs. Some of the larger projects that have been completed are Main Street Towanda sidewalks, Williamston Inn (16 rooms, banquet, bar, and dining rooms), two historic theater renovations, a new theater with stadium seating and an elegant lakeside residence. These projects range from a quarter million to three quarters of a million. Smaller projects have included handicap ramps, office remodeling, roofing, single family dwellings, garages, pole barns and additions. Typically the jobs are within 50 miles of Towanda, PA, but occasionally work is performed farther afield including the surrounding states.

   The personnel are experienced, qualified and conscientious. Safety is and has been an integral part of the company. They are very good at working with the various architects and engineers and the work is always performed to the BOCA Code Standards.
