Mountain Lake Electric and Construction, Inc. was founded by Robert Goetz in November 1972. His goal at the time was to establish a company that would cater to the electrical and construction needs of residents and commercial businesses in Towanda, PA. Over the years, the business has grown to serve other areas such as Sullivan, Tioga, and Wyoming counties in PA.

On March 17, 1979, James Good, then an employee, purchased the company and has operated Mountain Lake Electric and Construction, Inc. with the same core values Robert built his company on – combining the right tools, equipment, and personnel to do a quality job.​

The next generation of leadership has begun with Aaron Bristol purchasing Mountain Lake Electric on May 5, 2025. Aaron, who started his electrical career as an apprentice here, is dedicated to continuing the tradition of excellence and customer satisfaction that has defined the company for decades.
